Staff Accountant
Vernon, CA (Onsite)
Contract-to-Hire | $30-34/hr

A stable and growing company in the waste management and recycling industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team in Vernon, CA. This is a replacement opening with an immediate need and offers the opportunity to contribute to day-to-day accounting operations while gaining long-term career stability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily accounting operations and general ledger activities
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data
• Assist with additional accounting projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of general accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Schedule:

• Fully onsite in Vernon, CA
• Monday-Friday
• Start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM

Compensation:

• $30-34/hour
• Contract-to-hire
